Biopuncture uses homeopathic injections for healing and pain relief.

What is biopuncture?
Biopuncture is a therapy whereby specific locations are injected with natural, homeopathic products. This stimulates and supports the body’s natural healing process. Biopuncture may used to treat many conditions: neck pain, back pain, arthritis, sciatica, muscle strains, trigger points, sports injuries,
tendonitis, and many more.

Most injections are given under the skin or into the muscles using very thin needles so that minimal discomfort is experienced. Our clinical experience shows best results occur when using combining Biopuncture withosteopathic manipulation.

Are homepathics used in biopuncture safe?
Since the ampoules contain very low concentrations (micro-doses) of the active substances, side-effects are extremely rare. They are manufactured by companies that guarantee their production quality and are FDA approved. Clinical studies on thousands of patients have confirmed their safety and the use of homeopathic medicines in general has been refined over the past 200 years.

What homepathics are commonly used?
Lymphomyosot for swelling due to injuries, Traumeel for inflammation, and Spascupreel for muscle spasms.

Will biopuncture help as quickly as conventional therapies? Injections of micro-doses are less powerful than for example cortisone (steroid) injections. The doses used are too small to immediately suppress the inflammation. The goal is toregulate the natural inflammatory process to obtain complete and natural healing of the injured structures – not to suppress them. As a result, the symptomatic relief may take a while, especially for chronic cases. With acute (recent) injuries, the effects may be more quickly apparent.

Where are the injections given?
Injections may be given just under the skin, into the muscles, around ligaments or tendons and into joints. Several quick injections are administered in carefully selected zones during each office visit.

How many sessions are necessary?

Because small doses of natural products are used instead of cortisone (steroid) you have to be more patient. Usually 4 to 6 sessions are needed. However, if you have had problems for several months or years then more treatments may be necessary.

Are there any side effects of biopuncture?
Sometimes you may quickly improve after the injection. At other times, especially when dealing with longstanding problems, you may experience a temporary worsening of symptoms. This usually means that the healing processes are being activated and is termed the ‘reaction phase’.
